FILMMAKER & CREATIVE CONTENT PRODUCER FOR VIDEOS AND EVENTS
ABOUT
Hi there! I'm a Director, Producer, writer, videographer and content creator based in Singapore.
I started my career as a Conference Producer for a diverse field of studies (Internal Audit, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Digital Branding) in Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2012, I switched to join the media industry, in hopes of expanding content outreach.
With a passion in documentary and educational content filmmaking, I've worked across the spectrum of media production – writing, producing, directing, filming and editing for TV and events. Trained by one of Singapore’s leading production house as Business Development Manager and Series Producer for over 10 years, I have developed documentaries pertaining to topics that I'm passionate about (medical, engineering, food, social, arts etc) for international broadcasters and regional entities, such as Discovery Channel, ChannelNewsAsia, CICC (China) and IMDA (Singapore). I am effectively bilingual and I've worked with culturally diverse teams to push content across various platforms for greater exposure. Beyond documentaries, I've produced educational content (Marshall Cavendish Oral Videos), short web dramas inspired by real-life individuals and events (Gangster Nurse, Preloved Daughter), corporate brand narratives & event/award videos. (Total Defence Awards 2018, Maritime Nation Forum 2019, Nanyang Family Virtual Choir 2020, Hope Ambulance 2020 Fight against Covid-19).
I like to personally write and pitch for my projects, and produce-direct them too. Some TV projects which I have pitched for and produced include Man vs Birds, under Singapore Stories at Discovery Channel and Behind the Sirens for Channel NewsAsia. I also write Children's Books and create video animations for them! My first Children's Book Series, Peter's Magic Pencils, is a bilingual storybook with video animations, supported by the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism.
Having graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Minor in History, I adopt a strategy-first approach in all my ideas and work. I blend practicalities with artistic creativity to produce memorable content, focusing on meaningful storytelling for local and international clients. I'm always on the lookout for exciting collaborations to create content with a cause - in the forms of videos and events that inspire new perspectives and spark ideas for all ages.
If you've got a story to tell - in the form of a TV content, web videos, books or events/conferences - please drop me a note!
